Thalapathy Vijay highly anticipated film, “Leo,” made its worldwide debut on October 19 to widespread excitement. The movie saw a grand release in multiple languages, creating a buzz in cinema circles. It opened to spectacular numbers in all the southern states, breaking records in some areas with advance sales and pre-bookings. This remarkable response underscores the immense anticipation surrounding the film, as it reached a century in earnings on its very first day.

Despite receiving mixed reviews, “Leo” delivered a colossal opening at the box office on its premiere. According to trade sources, the film is estimated to have raked in an impressive Rs 130 crores worldwide. Notably, it achieved the largest opening ever for a Kollywood film globally. Out of this total, an astounding Rs 80 crore came from within India.

Here’s a breakdown of the film’s earnings across different regions: Rs 32 Crores in Tamil Nadu, 13 Crore in Kerala, 15 Crore in Karnataka, 18 Crore in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and the rest of India, with an additional Rs 4 crore. The total gross from India is expected to surpass Rs 80 crores. Meanwhile, the overseas collections are anticipated to exceed Rs 50 crore, resulting in a worldwide gross of over Rs 130 crore.

An outstanding achievement for “Leo” is that it surpassed the 10 crore mark in earnings from every state in South India, regardless of the language. Thalapathy Vijay, the film’s lead, became the first hero to accomplish this feat. Alongside Vijay, the movie features a talented ensemble cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Mysskin, and Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film’s music was composed by the renowned Anirudh Ravichander.
