Renowned actor Ravi Teja has recently debuted in his most significant project to date, “Tiger Nageswara Rao.” This film draws inspiration from historical events that unfolded in Andhra Pradesh during the 1970s. Under the direction of Vamsee, the much-anticipated movie has graced the screens today, promising to captivate audiences with its narrative and performances.

Plot: The film commences with a high-level intelligence bureau meeting led by Chief Raghavendra Rajput (Anupam Kher), focused on security concerns surrounding the Indian Prime Minister. During the briefing, it was revealed that the Prime Minister is under a significant threat from the notorious criminal Tiger Nageswara Rao (Ravi Teja). Vishwanath Sastry (Murali Sharma), a police officer, proceeds to provide insight into the origins and transformation of Tiger Nageswara Rao into a hardened criminal. In the second act of the film, a deeper exploration of the dacoit’s character and background is presented.

 Thumbs Up:

  • Meticulous Research and Detailed Period Representation
  • Tiger Nageswara Rao’s Criminal Journey
  • Ravi Teja’s Stellar Performance
  • Strong Supporting Cast
  • Engaging First Half

 Thumbs Down:

  • Lengthy Runtime
  • Over-the-Top Action
  • Narrative Inconsistencies
  • Questionable Authenticity
  • Missed Opportunities

Analysis:

GV Prakash Kumar delivered a commendable musical score and background music, albeit with some mixed song quality. Madhie’s cinematography was exceptional, but the disappointing VFX work undermined the impact of crime sequences. Editing in the first hour was solid, yet some superfluous scenes in the latter part could have been trimmed. Director Vamsee’s research effort shines in explaining Stuartpuram’s transformation into a den of thieves. The first half is engaging, while the second half, crucial to the narrative, suffers from excessive length and clichés, detracting from the overall experience.

Verdict: Tiger Nageswara Rao: A tale of a legendary outlaw’s impact, with Ravi Teja shining. Engaging first half, with some exaggeration, and subpar VFX, watchable if patient.

MovieMoghal Rating 2/5
