The lengthy weekends of Vinayaka Chavithi and Gandhi Jayanthi are wasted in Tollywood due to a series of postponements. These weekends saw a slew of dubbed films including Ram’s Skanda, but no major releases. The Diwali weekend is equally significant, because there are no proper Telugu films releasing around the holiday. In Telugu states, dubbed films include Salman Khan‘s Tiger 3, Karthi’s Japan, and Lawrence’s Jigar Thanda 2.
The releasing date of Vaishnav Tej’s Adikeshava was moved back until November 24th due to World Cup fever. Ram Gopal Varma’s Vyooham was scheduled to be released on November 10th, however it has been delayed due to censorship concerns. The picture has now been forwarded to the Revision Committee. Several additional films were scheduled to be released on November 10th but were postponed. Tollywood will spend another vacation weekend in 2023.
